Renault’s third-generation Clio will take on the name Clio Collection as it makes way for the fourth-generation New Clio model. This marks a continuation of the OEM’s tradition of continuing older generation models alongside their replacements. The Clio Collection is built at Renault’s Flins plant in France and (until March 2013) the Valladolid facility in Spain.
The third-generation Clio city car launched in 2005 and sales have since reached nearly 2.4 million units.
Under its new guise as the Collection, two equipment levels will be available – Alizé and Business. Engine options consist of the 1.2 16V 75 gasoline engine or the dCi 75 diesel. Both three- and five-door versions of the Clio Collection will be offered.
