Shanghai GM held a foundation laying ceremony for its latest vehicle production plant on 6 June 2012. The joint venture’s newest facility is located in the Jiangxia district of Wuhan. Once up and running it will build small and medium-sized passenger cars, SUVs and ‘new energy’ vehicles.
