A 3.7% year-on-year decline in passenger car sales resulted in a marginal 0.1% contraction of Canada's light vehicle market in September. Light truck sales were up 2.2% last month.
Sales of cars, SUVs and pick-ups totalled 134,544 units last month, comprising 57,136 cars and 77,408 light trucks, figures released by DesRosiers
