Japan: Vehicle sales up 33.5% in April – JADA

New vehicle sales in Japan rose by 33.5% year-on-year in April to reach 222,095 units, according to data compiled by the Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA). These figures do not include minivehicles (660cc). Total sales last month comprised 200,343 cars, up 36.8% compared with April 2009 figures, and 20,847 trucks.
