A change in resin composition by Delphi has led to inadvertent and unpredictable failures of direct-acting piezo diesel fuel injections systems on some Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The resin concerned encapsulates the tiny piezo stack in the centre of the injection nozzle and can cause fuel flow failure.
