Mahindra & Mahindra has officially inaugurated its new vehicle manufacturing plant in Chakan, in Maharashtra, 22 months after construction started. The OEM intends to invest a total of Rs5,000 crore (US$1.1bn) in the project. The plant is spread across 700 acres and will have capacity for 300,000 vehicles a year,
