Mercedes-Benz do Brasil has closed on a Real 1.2bn (US$675m) loan with the Brazilian bank Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Económico e Social (BNDES), which will be used to expand production capacity at its Sao Bernardo do Campo plant near Sao Paulo. Approval for the loan came through in January.
