Utility company Progress Energy is introducing Ford Escape plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to its operations in the state of Florida. Progress and Ford have been working together to test the PHEVs since February 2009, when Progress began operating an Escape PHEV in Raleigh, North Carolina.
