Tesla’s US EV market share shows signs of a collapse

North America was considered the only region where Tesla sales remained healthy following a collapse in Europe and decline in China. By Stewart Burnett

Tesla's US electric vehicle (EV) market share plummeted to 38% in August, its lowest level since October 2017 and the first time it has fallen below 40% in nearly eight years, according to Cox Automotive data seen by Reuters. The decline represents a dramatic shift for the automaker that commanded over 80% of the US EV market just a few years ago.
