TomTom cuts 300 jobs in AI ‘realignment’

The location technology specialist has confirmed job reductions in the wake of a strategic focus on AI. By Megan Lampinen

TomTom has announced plans to cut 300 jobs as part of what it describes as an organisational realignment that embraces artificial intelligence (AI). From GenAI to Agentic AI, advances across the AI field are reducing product development cycles, and in many cases the need for software engineers and other roles.
