Leading consumer advocate J.D. Power recognized the Nissan Frontier as the most reliable model in the Midsize Pickup segment of the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS).
Owners were surveyed about their 2018 model year vehicles for the 2021 study. VDS measures the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PPH) during the first three years after purchase, with a lower score reflecting higher quality.
“The Vehicle Dependability Study is a great validation of a vehicle’s true quality because it comes after three years of real world, everyday use,” said James Moss, vice president, Total Customer Satisfaction, Nissan North America, Inc. “Earning the top spot in the competitive midsize truck segment is an immense point of pride for us.”
Frontier is produced at Nissan’s Canton Mississippi Vehicle Assembly plant and ranked at the top of its category with a score of 106 PPH in the 2021 study. This is the third year in a row that Frontier has captured the top spot in the VDS Midsize Pickup segment.
Nissan unveiled an all-new 2022 Frontier earlier this month, celebrating more than six decades of experience bringing compact and midsize trucks to U.S. customers. The all-new Frontier goes on sale in summer of 2021 and brings the power, capability, utility, maneuverability and technology that drivers need to take on both weekday work and weekend adventures.
