Israel emerges as connectivity and cyber security hub

A perfect storm of factors have combined to foster innovation in Tel Aviv, positioning it as another Silicon Valley. By Megan Lampinen

As vehicle manufacturers and suppliers step up their connectivity efforts, attention is turning to Israel for both the technological building blocks and the security protection that go along with it.

Already home to the likes of Mobileye, Waze and Gett, local expertise in Israel are increasingly sought by global automotive players. Most recently, Volkswagen has turned to three leading Israeli experts and their team to jointly establish an automotive cyber security company. The new venture, to be called Cymotive Technologies, will be led by Yuval Diskin, Tsafrir Kats and Tamir Bechor.
