Responding to demand from bodyshops for faster and more flexible clearcoat drying performance, AkzoNobel’s Vehicle Refinishes business has introduced a new Dynacoat product, Clear 6000 HS AS, to the UK market.
Distributed exclusively by LKQ Coatings, it is designed for a wide range of repair sizes, types and conditions – and is compatible with existing waterborne basecoats.
“This top-class anti-scratch clearcoat is ideal for businesses looking for highly professional results – quickly and efficiently,” says George Sneddon, AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes’ Regional Technical Service Manager, Europe North. “It scores highly on appearance, flow characteristics and drying times. It’s also very easy to apply, in just two layers, and its short dry to handle times reduce polishing effort.”
By combining Clear 6000 HS AS with a choice of the two new Dynacoat Flexi Hardeners and Dynacoat Thinners, drying can be adjusted to suit different jobs and temperature preferences. This allows, for example, rapid drying at full bake or drying at ambient temperature.
With a quick flash-off between coats and before curing, it can be totally dry in as little as 15 minutes.
