A compromise between Renault and the French government promises to address the power struggle that has been simmering away since April. Eight months ago the government threw a spanner in the delicate workings of the Renault Nissan Alliance by securing double voting rights in Renault. This had many worried about its influence not only at the French OEM but also its Alliance partner Nissan, in which it holds a 43.4% stake.
