From pariah to hot prospect - OEMs and suppliers seek to benefit from a post-sanctions Iran

It was in February 2012 that PSA Peugeot Citroen announced the end of vehicle kit and component shipments to Iran, following strengthened Western economic sanctions, and reported pressure from its then partner GM. PSA had been building vehicles in Iran in partnership with local vehicle manufacturer Iran Khodro (IKCO), which assembled Peugeot's 405 and 206 models.
