Autonomous vehicle development seeks to vastly improve road safety, but the implementation of such vehicles lies far ahead. Until they become a reality, OEMs and suppliers are working on technologies that can aid the car in sensing its environment, reducing collisions and ultimately, increasing road user and occupant safety.
