One in three US citizens has a loved one who has been seriously injured or killed in a crash, yet many report that they regularly speed, run red lights, use distracted devices or drive drowsy

One in three US citizens has a loved one who has been seriously injured or killed in a crash, yet many report that they regularly speed, run red lights, use distracted devices or drive drowsy, according to a Traffic Safety Culture Index recently carried out by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

The results further find that unsafe behaviours persist even though one in five drivers has themselves been involved in a serious crash, and one in ten has been seriously injured in a crash.
