Internal combustion engines (ICEs) continue to improve in many different ways. Along with the current trends of downsizing and turbocharging, powertrain engineers have been looking to the smallest of components like bearings and coatings to obtain modest savings in fuel consumption, making engines as efficient and clean as possible.
