Hybrid vehicles: stepping stone technology or permanent solution?
Date: Thursday 02 April 2009
Time: Watch now on demand
The rapidly-growing hybrid market is being driven by several factors, including the pursuit of improved fuel efficiency, government and corporate incentives, particularly in the US, and the appeal to consumers and automotive manufacturers of making a ‘green’ statement.
However, the technology also faces some serious barriers to growth, including high costs, long payback periods and competition from diesel and other emerging technologies.
The purpose of this one-hour webinar is to gain insight from around the industry into the future of hybrid technology. Are hybrids simply a stepping stone to other technologies or do they have a major part to play in the auto industry's drive to reduce carbon emissions?
