Suppliers more cautious as US growth slows

Since the crash of the US auto industry in 2009, suppliers are approaching the market with caution in the case of another industry shutdown. According to OESA, the Original Equipment Suppliers Association, which represents US-based automotive suppliers, North American light duty vehicle production units are forecasted to increase by around 400,000 in both 2015 and 2016. But looking at the bigger picture, this represents half the growth in 2014, which saw an 800,000-unit increase from the previous year. It might be slowing, but US growth is still going.
