Volvo Cars has scaled back its US model lineup and will now focus near-exclusively on high-margin SUVs, due to the Trump administration’s unforgiving trade policies. The Geely-owned Swedish automaker simultaneously announced plans to begin American production of its popular XC60 SUV in late 2026 to avoid incurring levies.
