Daimler targets 5,000 CVs annually at new Indonesia plant

Daimler’s new Bekasi plant will target 28% local content as the local government pushes for lower-emission CVs. By Stewart Burnett

Daimler has opened a US$30.7m commercial vehicle factory in Bekasi, West Java, targeting annual production of 5,000 units. The 15-hectare facility, operated by local subsidiary PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Manufacturing Indonesia (DCVMI), produces vehicles with 28% local content.
