Due to its success during the first Automechanika Birmingham in 2016, original equipment (OE) manufacturer and systems supplier, HELLA, is back again this June with a stand almost twice the size of last year’s. HELLA and its joint venture companies, Behr Hella Service, Hella Gutmann Solutions and Sonne will occupy a 135sqm island stand (19C40), allowing them to show an impressive range of products and capabilities.

In addition to the company’s exciting stand presence, it will again take an active part in the show’s popular feature attractions, as Hella Gutmann Solutions will be present in the ‘Interactive Workshop’ and technical programme. In the ‘Interactive Workshop’, the company will showcase its market leading range, including the renowned mega macs diagnostic tools. Visitors will see the set up procedure of the camera and sensor calibration (CSC) tool, which allows the correct calibration of the camera and radar equipment used in millions of the country’s vehicles. The demonstration will show how quick and easy it is, as well as an explanation of radar calibration using the CSC tool and radar extension.

Moreover, head of business development at Hella Gutmann Solutions, Neil Hilton, will present ‘Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) Awareness’, which will give an in depth overview of ADAS technology including the impact it has on various vehicle safety systems, the capability of these systems and the requirements following even basic vehicle repairs to reinstate their correct operation. It will also include the responsibility and potential liability of garages that are repairing and servicing vehicles, as well as an explanation of the company’s aftermarket solution to this ever-growing issue.

Helen Goldingay, senior head of marketing and communications, said: “We’re very excited about this year’s Automechanika Birmingham. It was such a success for HELLA last year; we met a lot of customers, found some new ones and also had excellent sales.

“This year, we’re going to build on that success with new additions across all of our product groups, as well as providing an interactive forum for visitors.”
