On May 18, 2015, Chery’s new SUV Tiggo 5 was launched at Chery’s showroom in Dubai, capital of the UAE, kicking off the Tiggo 5’s Middle East Launch Tour.
On the day of its launch, Number of consumers from around the UAE and 20 journalists from mainstream media outlets gathered at Chery’s showroom for Tiggo 5’s debut appearance in the UAE. At the event, Chery announced they would be launching two versions of the Tiggo 5: Comfort and Luxury. Both equipped with a 2.0L DVVT engine and a 7CVT transmission.
Since its launch in late 2013, Tiggo 5 has caused a great sensation among other SUVs in the same segment with its fluid and dynamic modeling, user-friendly technical configurations and superior quality. Over 100,000 users worldwide have expressed their praise for the car in just over a year since its launch, making it the most iconic of Chery’s new-generation models.
Built by world leading automobile designers from automakers such as Porsche and Mercedes-Benz, and inspired by “water”, Tiggo 5 perfectly combines fluid lines with a solid style to make it vigorous and trendy. The full range of Tiggo 5 has user-friendly functions such as one-button startup and keyless entry, and its highly-equipped model has functions such as automatic conditioning and cruise control. Such rich configurations make the Tiggo 5 stand out amongst other models of the same segment. As part of Chery’s new-generation high-quality strategy, the Tiggo 5 passed road reliability tests covering 2.8 million kilometers and bench reliability tests lasting nearly 100,000 hours during R & D. Moreover, it was recently honored as a five-star model in a collision test under China’s authoritative safety test program C-NCAP.
