Renault Parc Entreprises has launched Pro+board, a new vehicle fleet management tool. Accessed via the http://www.proplusboard.com/ secure website, Pro+board facilitates efficient fleet management, reports on the status of the fleet based on user requests and provides access to analytical tools. Pro+board tracks all the vehicles in a fleet, regardless of whether they are Renault models or other brands, and is designed for all business customers.
A fast, user-friendly and personalised platform
Pro+board lets fleet managers track their fleet daily using the secure website www.proplusboard.com. To be able to connect to the service, Renault cars or other brands require a data terminal fitted as standard[1], as an option or retrofitted. Once the service has been activated, around 60 items of technical data are gathered daily and sent to a server. This information is then converted into graphs in an easy-to-read format, and users can set their own parameters.
Fleet managers access a control function which provides them with an overview of key tracking data: distance travelled, energy consumption (fuel or electricity), CO2 emissions and technical alerts (up to 26, listed into order of importance).
Pro+board delivers historical data via 12 customisable indicators for tracking over one, six or 12 months depending on business needs, such as average real consumption per vehicle model over six months or average distance travelled by the fleet over a year. All the data can be exported in Excel format.
If fleet managers require more detailed data, they can access the vehicle’s data sheet and view its status at a glance: maintenance, oil level, tyre pressures, average consumption and individual alerts.
Drivers’ privacy is respected since Pro+board doesn’t track their location or behaviour (e.g. speeding or committing traffic offences), in accordance with the recommendations of the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL).
Pro+board can be tailored to suit the company’s organisational structure and deliver full or partial fleet management, i.e. by region, job function or type of fleet.
Pro+board – tracking software to boost productivity
Priced at between €8 and €16.50 per month, Pro+board offers customers a complete end-to-end solution with no intermediaries, from activating data terminals to managing all fleet data (new or used cars, Renault or other brands).
The fleet management tool helps to reduce fleet running costs by:
- optimising leasing contracts by tracking vehicle usage,
- reducing the number of incidents by better tracking technical alerts,
- cutting the cost of minor repairs and reconditioning,
- lowering insurance premiums due to fewer incidents,
- cutting fuel consumption (by around 5 to 10%).
Taking fuel consumption as an example, for a car which consumes 6 litres/100 kilometres on average and does 2,500 kilometres per month, an 8% reduction in fuel consumption saves 0.5 litre/100 kilometres of fuel, i.e. a saving of €16 per month per vehicle.
Customers optimise their fleet management by preventing incidents which occur due to poor maintenance and can therefore plan better for routine servicing. They can also offer targeted training courses in eco-driving or road safety based on vehicle data.
Pro+board is already available in French. Several other languages will be added shortly in order to support Renault’s strategy to develop its range of services in international markets, depending on the legal situation in each country.
