Roll on springtime: The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet can be ordered as of now with prices starting from 139,051.50 euros[1] and will be making its way to dealers from April 2016. The sixth variant of the current S-Class family is simultaneously the first open-top luxury four seater from Mercedes-Benz since 1971.

The new cabriolet offers distinctive design, the cutting-edge technology of the S-Class and a comprehensive heat insulation and draft shield concept including intelligent air-conditioning control for cabriolets.

With a Cd value of 0.29, aerodynamics world champion Mercedes-Benz sets a new benchmark in this segment with the S-Class Cabriolet. As a worthy sister model for the S-Class Coupé – the series production car with the quietest interior of all – the open four-seater offers excellent noise-related comfort, too. A three-layer acoustic soft top comes as standard.

The V8 engine of the S 500 cabriolet (from 139,051.50 euros) has an output of 335 kW (455 HP). Engine displacement is 4,663 cm3, maximum torque 700 Nm at 1,800 rpm. With NEDC consumption (combined) the cabriolet consumes just 8.5 litres Super/100 km, the CO2 emissions are 199 g/km.

For the first time in the company’s history Mercedes-AMG has a luxury-class cabriolet in its model range with the S 63 4MATIC (from 187,484.50 euros). The twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 engine generates an output of 430 kW (585 HP) as well as 900 Nm maximum torque and accelerates the cabriolet from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. As standard the S 63 comes with the AMG performance all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque distribution. A further Mercedes-AMG vehicle, the S 65 Cabriolet, can be ordered from 4 April 2016.
