Matthew J. Zaluzec, Senior Technical Advisor, Ford Motor Company has been confirmed as a speaker at Fuel Economy Detroit.
Dr. Zaluzec, is Senior Technical Advisor to the Vice President of Research on Global Materials and Manufacturing Research at Ford Motor Company’s Research and Innovation Center. He has 25 years of automotive materials and manufacturing experience with his core research focused on lightweight materials and advanced manufacturing technology in the development of lightweight body architectures, powertrain, chassis and interiors.
He has received two Henry Ford Technology Awards for his work on advanced aluminum materials for automotive applications and for the development of the aluminum intensive 2005 Ford GT supercar. In 2006, he was awarded the SAE- Henry Ford II Award for Automotive Excellence. He has been granted 45 U.S. Patents for his research in advanced joining, high performance coatings, lightweight materials and advanced manufacturing processes for stamping, casting and extruding materials.
