- JMC Strides forward to the Heavy Truck industry
Since Aug 8th, 2012, Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd (JMC) signed an equity transfer agreement of Taiyuan Changan Heavy Duty Truck Co. Ltd and signed strategic cooperation agreement with Taiyuancity government, this project has been under the spotlight. At present, this project has made significant progress, the restructure is completed successfully. On Feb 22nd, 2013, JMC Heavy Duty Vehicle Co. Ltd (JMCH) held a grand unveiling ceremony in the manufacturing base of Taiyuan. Mr. John Lawler, Chairman and CEO of Ford Motor China, JMC president Mr. York Chen, JMC Executive Vice-President Mdm. XiongChunying, JMC VP Mdm. Liu Nian Feng and JMCH senior managements, as well as some of employees attended the ceremony to witness this big event together as JMC’s new milestone.
Mr. John Lawler addressed in the Ceremony that Ford Motor has been acting actively in the forefront of global automotive industry since its establishment over a hundred years ago. JMCH project was introduced at a right time and now it has made some progress already. Mr. Liao Zanping, JMC VP and General Manager of JMCH said, JMCH is an important part of JMC’s future development. With great support from Shanxi province and Taiyuan city, as well as whole employees’ hard effort, we will build JMCH into a first class heavy truck maker in domestic market with certain influences to the global market. It will create wealth for the society, create benefits for shareholders and bring happiness to the employees. This ceremony not only portraits JMCH’s successful restructure and entering into the big family of JMC, at the same time it also symbolizes JMC’s dedication and will to penetrate China heavy truck field while focusing its efforts in the commercial vehicle industry in order to achieve a leading position within this realm.
