Production in Japan for the month of May 2014 experienced a year-on-year increase for the ninth consecutive month (since September 2013).
Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since February 2014), setting record high production for the month of May. This includes an all-time monthly record for production in Asia, and record high production for the month of May in China.
Production worldwide experienced a year-on-year increase for the 10th consecutive month (since August 2013), setting record high production for the month of May.

Total domestic automobile sales in the Japanese market for the month of May 2014 experienced a year-on-year increase for the 10th consecutive month (since August 2013).
New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year increase for the ninth consecutive month (since September 2013).
Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive month (since April 2014).

Fit was the industry’s top selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of May 2014 with sales of 12,984 units. VEZEL was the industry’s sixth best-selling car with sales of 7,899 units.
<Mini-vehicles – under 660 cc>
N-BOX was the industry’s third best-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of May 2014 with sales of 10,312 units. N-WGN was the industry’s seventh best-selling car with sales of 7,978 units.
