GAZ Group, a member of Basic Element, a Russian largest diversified industrial group, supplies 75 E5 low-floor LiAZ buses to MosGorTrans. The buses are certified according to Regulations No. 107 of the UN EEC and adapted for limited mobility passenger transportation. All in all, the Moscow fleet will have replenished by 161 LiAZ buses by the year end. Total vehicle cost – RUR 1.5 B.

GAZ Group replenished the Moscow fleet with 75 low-floor LiAZ buses. The buses will be used on city routes in Moscow. The buses were transferred in front of the main entrance of VDNKh in presence of Sergey Sobyanin, the Moscow Mayor, and Maksim Liksutov, the Manager of Vehicle and Road Infrastructure Development Department.

The E5 low-floor city bus with MAN engine is designed to transport up to 85 persons (including 23 seats and one wheelchair space). The buses comply with Regulations of the UN EEC No. 107 on vehicle communization and safety. The driver’s compartment is designed in compliance with the international comfort and ergonomics standards. The low floor provides for easy assess to and from the bus and shortens the route time by 15%. The bus is adapted for limited mobility persons: it has a kneeling system (7% body incline towards the doors), mechanical ramp, electronic rout indicators, climate control and GLONASS.

Sergey Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow:

– About 7 thousand vehicles are purchased for the last few years, including the bus fleet (plus about 5 thousand of new buses). All the buses 100% comply with the modern comfort, ecology and safety requirements.

Maksim Liksutov, the Manager of Vehicle and Road Infrastructure Development Department:

– The Moscow fleet is the youngest and most modern among the largest European cities. We are going to continue upgrading it within the next two years. Of, course we will buy Russian buses only, including GAZ Group buses, who has already shipped this lot to MosGorTrans.

Nikolay Odintsov, GG Corporate Sales Development Director:

– Since 2010, GAZ Group has sent about 3.5 thousand E4 and E5 buses to MosGorTrans. All the vehicles are supplied in a special configuration in compliance with the passenger carrier’s requirements. In 2013, MosGorTrans became the first buyer of LiAZ-5292 buses specially developed for the Sochi Olympics.
