Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has hosted a celebration event of its 1 million-unit sales milestone in Indonesia, MFTBC’s largest export market. The memorable event held on November 6, 2013, at the company’s distributor, P.T. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), headquarters located in Jakarta, Indonesia, was also attended by approximately 50 media guests.
The company has been present on the Indonesian market since 1970 and has established itself as the leading commercial vehicle brand. The FUSO Canter truck is a top seller with a market share of 52.8 % in the light duty truck segment in Indonesia and is contributing significantly to the seven-digit sales benchmark.

To enable stronger participation in the growth of sales markets like Indonesia, the company’s largest export market, MFTBC and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV), the company’s strategic counterpart as Daimler Trucks Asia, are well positioned to fuel additional growth with an overall sales target of more than 290,000 units sold by 2020. The markets of Southeast Asia offer a significant long-term market potential. According to external forecasts, an increase of approximately 20% to 30% in annual truck sales can be expected for the entire Southeast Asia region until 2020.

Mitsubishi Fuso is the number one commercial vehicle brand in Indonesia, with a leading market share of 44.9% in the overall truck and bus segment in 2013. In the light-duty truck segment (5-8 tons GVW) served by the Colt Diesel, the company continues to prove its leadership position with a market share of 52.8% percent. Over the past five years, the company has sold over 260,000 units in Indonesia,
including light-duty trucks, medium-heavy-duty trucks and light-duty bus chassis.
The company is celebrating its 1 millionth sales milestone since its market entry in 1970. Mitsubishi Fuso products for Indonesia are distributed by P.T. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB). MFTBC holds 18% of KTB shares.
