Douglas Skorupski, Manager of Powertrain Strategy at Volkswagen of America, has been confirmed as a speaker in the Powertrain Track at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015, which takes place on 17 March 2015.
Skorupski is responsible for the strategic planning of the engines and transmissions for the passenger cars and light trucks offered in the US market. He ensures VW’s powertrain portfolio meets customer requirements, compliance targets, and brand positioning objectives. In addition, Skorupski oversees the planning of other cross carline technologies such as start/stop systems.
He joined Volkswagen of America in 2010 with over 20 years of industry experience in powertrain planning, research and testing. Skorupski works within Volkswagen of America’s Product Strategy department at its corporate headquarters in Herndon, Virginia.
