Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFL-PV) today launched”R30,” the fourth production model from its local Venucia brand.

Venucia R30 was developed based on a Nissan global platform and is tailored to the first time-buyer segment in China. As R30 strives for both affordability and quality, its starting price is strategically set at RMB 39,900 and equipped with best-in-class features such as:

  • Generous cockpit: attributable to R30’s one-class-above exterior (3775 x 1665 x 1530mm) and wheelbase (2450mm).
  • 1.2-liter HR12DE engine: more powerful but similar fuel consumption to most of its peers, which have 1.0-liter engines.
  • Agility: with a minimum turning radius of 4.5m, stable suspension and chassis, R30 delivers safe and agile driving performance.

Venucia continues to turn in impressive sales results. In the first half of CY2014, Venucia sales totaled 57,866 units, a 32.5 percent year-on-year increase. Since launch in April 2012, Venucia has sold more than 200,000 vehicles and is one of the fastest-growing Chinese automotive brands.

DFL-PV Managing Director Susumu Uchikoshi said, “As the Chinese auto market continues to grow rapidly, consumer behaviors become more rational, while needs are more diversified. As a brand dedicated to Chinese consumers, Venucia goes beyond product creation and maintains an ongoing dialogue with consumers, striving to realize our commitment to customers and responding to their needs with innovative products and services.”
