DB Schenker Logistics is expanding its service portfolio in Ukraine. The national company has leased additional capacity in a new multi-customer warehouse. The facility is located in Belogorodka, seven kilometers from Kiev ring road, in the “Amtel” terminal. The modern logistics center offers a total area of 45,000 square meters, a ceiling height of twelve meters, an anti-dust flooring, and a cross-docking system. There are parking lots for up to 60 trucks and 120 cars. This new logistics complex also boasts office buildings with a total area of 3,500 square meters.
To start with, DB Schenker will use 3,100 square meters, with the opportunity to grow further and serve customers from industries like Consumer Goods, Electronics, Chemicals, and Automotive. A further 600 square meters will be used for office space.
“This brand new warehouse is energy efficient and properly designed. The facility is equipped with enough docks, has a good cross-docking platform which certainly affects the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. It will contribute to higher service quality and increased capability in accommodating larger customer demands,” says Oleg Verzhbytskky, Managing Director, DB Schenker in Ukraine.
