Chevrolet today announced the prices of its new small SUV, the Chevrolet Trax, which will start from €16,990, including VAT, in Germany (vehicle equipped with a 1.6L 115 hp gasoline engine). It will be available at Chevrolet dealerships as of May 2013.

The top specification offered in Germany will be available from €23,990 and will include various convenience features such as the Chevrolet MyLink connected radio. MyLink technology aggregates content from smartphones onto a seven-inch high resolution full-color touch screen display.   The system and provides easy access to personal playlists, photo galleries, phone books, and other stored media and data. It also supports TuneIn internet radio, Siri Eyes Free, an intelligent assistant, as well BringGo, a navigation app that can be downloaded onto compatible smartphones.   Through the cars’ available Chevrolet MyLink technology, customers with a compatible iPhone* running iOS 6 can direct Siri to perform a number of tasks while they safely keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel.

Trax combines the agility of a small car and the versatility of an SUV, making it perfect for today’s urban explorer. Buyers of an upper trim vehicle will benefit from a flat-folding front passenger seat that offers additional flexibility for objects of up to 2.3 m length. Customers will also appreciate the regular 230V socket that can be used for recharging laptops and other electronic devices without the need for an adapter.   The numerous storage spaces include a glove-box with two compartments and outlets for USB and auxiliary devices enabling discrete connectivity of iPods, smart phones, and other electronic devices.

The powertrain line-up will comprise a 140 hp (103 kW) 1.4L turbocharged gasoline unit, a 1.6L gasoline engine as well as a 1.7L diesel engine which produces 130 hp (96 kW). Customers will be able to choose between front-wheel-drive (FWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. All manual transmission variants come with Start/Stop technology. Trax is offered in front-wheel-drive (FWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.

Trax will complement the larger Captiva and is Chevrolet’s modern expression of Chevrolet’s experience of over 75 years in building and selling great SUVs.
