Human Rights Campaign names BASF one of “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality”
“At BASF, we place great value on recruiting and developing top talent from all backgrounds, and providing an environment allowing all employees to perform to their full potential,” said Nevin McDougall, Senior Vice President, BASF Corporation, and the executive sponsor of ALLchemie, the company’s Employee Resource Group supporting LGBT employees and their allies.
Supportive employment practices and benefits, as well as the inclusive efforts of its employee resource groups, contributed to BASF earning this recognition from the Human Rights Campaign.
McDougall added “It is encouraging to see our commitment to all aspects of Diversity and Inclusion has once again earned BASF recognition as a leader in workplace fairness. BASF fully appreciates that equality is a fundamental principle of fair, smart and inclusive ways of doing business.”
The 2015 CEI rated 781 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. BASF’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
