AvtoVAZ and BIPEK AVTO signed an agreement on distribution of Lada in Central Asia and Mongolia

“AvtoVAZ” and “BIPEK AVTO” begin to work together on the markets of the Central Asian region. The corresponding agreement was signed in Astana by the President of “AVTOVAZ”, Bo Inge Andersson and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “BIPEK AVTO”, Anatoly Balushkin in the presence of Russian President, Vladimir Putin and the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Under the agreement, “BIPEK AVTO” becomes the official LADA distributor on the markets of Central Asia: Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tadzhikistan.

President of “AVTOVAZ” Mr. Bo Inge Andersson praised the work of “BIPEK AVTO” in the markets of Russia and Kazakhstan and expressed hope for the successful promotion of LADA brand in Central Asia. “Today, we are reforming the distribution network in export markets by introducing new high standards of customer service. The positive experience of our partnership in Russia and Kazakhstan allows us to count on a successful return to the Central Asian markets, where the positions of AvtoVAZ in the past were traditionally strong, “- said Mr. Andersson.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of “BIPEK AVTO”, Anatoly Balushkin noted that “Today AVTOVAZ trust us to restart the brand in the vast market of Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries of the region. This is a large-scale task and it is inextricably linked to our joint production plans of exports deliveries of cars that will be produced at our new plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk”.

In September 2014, the partners signed an agreement on joint activities in the markets of the Siberian and Urals federal districts of Russia. As part of the agreement the parties established a joint venture “ASIA AVTO Ust-Kamenogorsk”, which will be entitled to distribute, sale and service LADA vehicles. Infrastructure of the joint venture in the Russian Federation now includes 15 auto centers in 10 cities.

Today on the site of “ASIA AVTO Kazakhstan” in Ust-Kamenogorsk they continue construction of the largest auto industry cluster in Kazakhstan. Participants of the project are “BIPEK AVTO – ASIA AVTO” and “AVTOVAZ”. Creation of a full cycle vehicle production (set of welding, painting, vehicles assembly and vehicle components production companies) will provide the production of up to 120 thousand cars a year.
