Scania’s next-gen range to maximise customer profitability

The Swedish OEM has launched a new truck range that is primarily designed to boost customer profitability, writes Michael Nash

Scania unveiled its new truck range at an event called ‘Driving the Shift’ in Paris on 23 August 2016. The new S and R trucks represent the company’s largest single investment in products, costing SEK20bn (US2.39bn) to develop. Speaking to Automotive World, President and Chief Executive Henrik Henriksson described the models as “built with the sole purpose of making more profit for our customers. If they make money, we will be successful as well.”
