The emissions scandal has shaken the confidence of fleet operators. Fleets rely on emissions data provided by OEMs, and of the 2.3 million company cars in use in the UK, 81% are currently run on diesel. According to a study conducted in the wake of the VW revelations by Sewells, an automotive research company, 90% of fleet decision makers consider C02 emissions important when making choices. Similarly, 64% considered nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions important, whilst 84% look to manufacturers to cut NOx emissions.
