Motiv Power Systems, a California-based supplier of electric powertrain solutions, recently received several grants from the California Energy Commission (CEC), totalling US$8.1m. Some of the money was spent to construct a new facility in Hayward, California, and the rest will go towards the production of Motiv’s all-electric powertrain for Class C school buses and refuse trucks.
