Range anxiety depends on the OEM strategy

Johnson Controls’ Rosenkranz says lithium-ion batteries will be key to enabling improvements in range, but final performance is down to the OEM

Johnson Controls (JCI) has been expanding global production of its battery technologies to meet rising OEM demand. With US$555m in investments between 2011 and 2020, the supplier is implementing plans to expand its absorbent glass mat (AGM) battery production capacity worldwide in particular.
