Panasonic’s automotive components strategy under way

In line with its strategy to expand in the automotive components space, Panasonic has been entering into agreements to collaborate, acquire and set up joint ventures

Late last year, the head of Panasonic's Automotive & Industrial Systems division, Yoshihiko Yamada, said the supplier planned to double revenue from its automotive-related products to ¥2tr (US$18.41bn) by March 2019. At the time, he said the company was on the lookout for potential acquisitions or partnerships, in order to expand its presence in automotive technologies.
