The Vehicle Lightweighting track at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015 addressed how both light-duty passenger vehicle suppliers and OEMs can tackle the challenge posed by the corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) target of 54.5mpg by 2025.
Speaking at the event, Jamie Zinser, Director of Engineering, Global Structural Systems at Dura Automotive, commented that the supply base needs to “tap into all of the technologies that are available today and really look at ourselves as architects.”
