Spain is sticking with its new car subsidy scheme and recently committed an additional €175m (US$237m) to the programme. Known as Programa de Incentivos al Vehículo Eficiente (PIVE), or the Efficient Vehicle Incentive Programme, the scheme has now been extended six times.
