Industry 4.0 will impact employment, but could create new workforce

Industry 4.0 will bring unprecedented levels of automation to the automotive manufacturing process. The benefits are clear, but the exact impact on manufacturing employment is not. Some operational roles will inevitably become obsolete, and whilst there is optimism that Industry 4.0 has the potential to create a brand new type of workforce, concerns remain over how this workforce will take shape.
