Grouping G20 countries for further fossil fuel reduction

Three groups of G20 countries are established to pinpoint the next step that each must take in cutting fossil fuel use

A recent study carried out by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) examined the Group of 20 (G20) – which consists of major economy countries – and their fossil fuel reduction policies. Although significant progress has been made through current clean transportation initiatives, the report proposes a new grouping strategy that could further reduce fuel consumption, air pollution and carbon emissions.
