FTC adds advertising angle to VW dogpile

Volkswagen finds itself in trouble over false advertising claims in the US, writes Megan Lampinen

The lawsuits against Volkswagen keep piling up. In the US alone it faces actions from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the US Department of Justice (DOJ), numerous disgruntled owners and now the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC case stems from the company's 'clean diesel' advertising campaign in the US.
