Just over a week after Fiat restarted negotiations with the United Auto Workers union (UAW) Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA) Trust, Fiat has reached an agreement to acquire the trust's entire holding in Detroit-based Chrysler Group LLC. In all, the value of this total transaction will be around US$4.35bn.
