Recent reports from several tyre suppliers suggest that demand for ultra high performance (UHP) tyres is on the up. Hankook witnessed a 6.4% rise in sales for its UHP products during the fourth quarter of FY2015 and a Yokohama spokesperson told Automotive World that the company is expecting “considerable demand for UHP tyres” for the foreseeable future.
