April marked the eighth consecutive month of growth for the EU new car market, with registrations rising 4.6% year-on-year to 1,0889,226 units, according to ACEA figures. April's growth marks a slowdown, however, from the 10.6% rise seen last month and the 8% rise the month before. Historically, sales last month marked the third lowest April result since ACEA began the series in 2003 with the enlarged EU. For the year-to-date, EU sales remain up 7.4% at 4,336,013 units.
